The ethnic composition of Mongolia is fairly homogeneous. Halh (Khalkha) Mongols constitute the great majority of the population, while other ethnic Mongols exist in small numbers. Other groups are the Kazaks, Dorvods, Chinese, and Russians. The society is 64 percent urban.
